Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Customer Service Representative (CSR) to support customers in an aerospace manufacturing environment. This role focuses on inside sales and customer service, acting as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, quotes, and orders. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, ERP experience, and a background in industrial or manufacturing settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, process, and manage incoming and outgoing customer quotes to meet required deadlines.
- Review and process customer purchase orders per Risk Analysis (AS9100) and accurately enter orders into the ERP systems
- Interpret and communicate quality clauses, customer-specific requirements, delivery schedules, and contract details.
- Maintain accurate records of open, closed, and archived customer orders and quotes.
- Update and maintain customer data within the ERP system.
- Perform purchase order follow-ups, weekly status reports, work order changes, delivery expedites, and resolve order issues.
- Act as a liaison between customers and internal departments, including Engineering, Inspection, Accounting, and Shipping.
- Assist with incoming mail, faxes, accounting support (collections), and reception coverage as needed.
- Participate in team meetings, continuous improvement efforts, 6S activities, and internal audits as required.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Person.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 3 years of customer service experience, including some industrial or manufacturing experience.
- Strong understanding of customer service principles and documentation procedures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- ISO 9001 / AS9100 (Aerospace) experience – MAJOR PLUS
- Experience working with Aerospace OEMs.
- Familiarity with ERP systems.
