1099 Contract | $19–$23/hr (Based on Experience) | 40+ Hours/Week
We are a steady-growing, well-established luxury furniture manufacturer with over 8 years of proven success—including continued growth through COVID and beyond. Our clients include high-end residential and commercial interior designers, and we are proud to produce fully custom, made-to-order pieces.
We currently have two open contract positions:
Upholstery Cutter & Sewer
Upholstery Finisher
About the Roles
Each position plays a vital role in our production process. All items are framed and foamed before you begin work, allowing you to focus on fabric precision and high-quality craftsmanship. You’ll work closely with a partner to complete each piece to our high standards.
- Upholstery Cutter & Sewer
- Responsible for accurately measuring, cutting, and sewing customer-supplied (COM) and stock -materials.
- Prepares all components for upholstery finishing.
- Must understand fabric orientation, stretch direction, and best practices for mixed materials.
- Ability to work efficiently from measurements and templates. - Upholstery Finisher
-Applies fabric and materials onto framed/foamed furniture.
-Must have strong skills in fabric alignment, tension, and clean stapling.
-Works with cutter/sewer partner to achieve seamless results.
-Comfortable working with various styles, including tight upholstery and slip covers.
Qualifications
- 2+ years professional upholstery experience required.
- Strong technical understanding of upholstery materials and tools.
- Ability to read and interpret detailed measurements and project notes.
- Experience with high-end, custom furniture pieces preferred.
- Knowledge of COM application and luxury textile handling is a big plus.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Must be reliable, detail-oriented, and adaptable.
