Apprentice Electricians

Job Summary:
The Apprentice Electrician assists licensed electricians in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in residential, commercial, or industrial settings while learning the trade through hands-on experience and classroom instruction.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with installing wiring, outlets, switches, circuit breakers, and lighting systems
Pull and route conduit and cables according to electrical plans and codes
Use hand and power tools safely and correctly
Follow National Electrical Code (NEC) and local regulations
Test electrical systems using meters and testing equipment
Troubleshoot basic electrical issues under supervision
Maintain a clean and safe work area
Load, unload, and organize tools and materials
Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout
Attend required apprenticeship classes or training sessions
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED
Enrollment in or eligibility for an electrical apprenticeship program
Basic math and mechanical skills
Ability to read blueprints and schematics (or willingness to learn)
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
Reliable transportation and punctuality
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift 50 lbs
Comfortable working at heights, in tight spaces, and outdoors
Standing, kneeling, climbing, and bending for extended periods
Work Environment:
Construction sites, residential homes, commercial buildings, or industrial facilities
Exposure to weather, dust, noise, and electrical hazards
