Growing Meat Processing Company in Vernon, CA
is Seeking an Experience Production Manager with Food / Meat Production Experience
Salary depends on Experience
This is a 1st Shift opportunity with a start time of
4am. Overtime and weekends availability is a MUST.
This position requires the ability to work in a cooler / freezer enviornment
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate Daily Activities of Production & Operations Teams
- Delegate Production Assignments
- Place Production orders for customers
- Inspect all material & equipment to detect malfuctions
- Ensure every department adheres to Safety policies
- Develop method to track individual & Production performance in the area of Safety, Quality, Efficiency, Productivity & Cost
- Review Production requirements & daily Production schedule to ensure orders are filled on time and complete
- Oversee a Production shift in the abscense of a supervisor
- Develop Production department budget & coordinate with other department heads to create company budget
- Coordinate with Merchandizing department on inventory numbers
- Monitor labor cost on all production departments
- Supervise, train,coach,develop and discipline direct reports
- Monitor all items used in production and use judgment and discretion to eliminate waste & preserve resources.
- Review daily production schedule and adjust as needed
- Implement changes in production to run more efficient
- Motivate teams to create a positive work enviornment
Qualifications:
- Experience in Food Production 4+ years, Manufacturing USDA experience prefered
- Knowledge of Production Equipment
- Strong Leadership qualities
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills
- Strong leadership,analytical,organizational skills
- Ability to reduce waste & increase output
- Ability to see defects and find ways to minimize waste
- Must be able to work crossfunctionally to strengthen departments
- Must be Bilingual Spanish & English Read & write
